Wright Training Pty Ltd specialises in providing safety and training services to various industries such as resources, construction, power generation, quarrying, and manufacturing, with a specific focus on renewable energy, particularly wind energy. Our main objective is to help clients minimise their incident rates and fulfill their legal obligations while striving for industry-leading performance.

We aspire to become the primary provider of working at heights and rescue training for the wind industry in Asia-Pacific and we are working with other industry leaders to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of what we do. Through our safety and training services, we support our clients in streamlining their processes, reducing and preventing industrial accidents, saving time and costs, safeguarding lives, and fostering a culture of site safety.

Shaping Excellence Ahead (2024 – Present)

2025

The Wright Training Centre in Goulburn, NSW, was officially opened on 24 October 2025 by the Mayor of Goulburn. Purpose-built to deliver high-fidelity, industry-relevant training, the centre sets a new benchmark for safety, rescue, and technical instruction across Australia.
Our Lead Trainer & Founder, Claire Wright, attended an IQTT workshop in Elsfleth, Germany, contributing to the IQT Standard Review.
A professional development workshop was conducted for the Wright Training team, continuing our commitment to trainer excellence.
Successfully delivered the WorkReady for Wind programme in Queensland, supporting Indigenous employment pathways into the wind energy industry.

2024

Expanded our GWO training scope to include IQT and IQT‑X, and launched the WorkReady for Wind pilot in Queensland supporting Indigenous employment pathways.
Claire Wright continued her global involvement as part of the GWO IQTT Teacher Team, delivering instructor training in Denmark and the USA.
Strengthened collaboration with GWO, contributing to the update of the Instructor Qualification Training (IQT) Standard, a process continuing into 2025 as the new standard is reviewed.

Resilience and Advancement (2021 – 2023)

2023

Claire Wright was a featured panelist at the GWO Safety & Training Forum in Texas, USA.
Facilitated Australia’s first GWO IQT pilot program.
Selected as the only training provider globally to join the GWO IQTT Teacher Team, Claire facilitated the IQTT pilot programme alongside GWO Teachers in Copenhagen, Denmark.

2022

Participated in the world-first IQT Trainer Workshop in Copenhagen after contributing to the development of the GWO Instructor Qualification Training Standard.
Co-hosted the Industry Conference for Safety in Wind Construction.
Achieved ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation, reinforcing our commitment to environmental and occupational health standards.

2021

Navigated pandemic challenges while continuing to deliver high-quality training to key clients including Vestas and GE.
Actively engaged in industry forums to support wind energy safety and training.

Innovative Growth and Challenges (2018 – 2020)

2020

Overcame significant disruption due to bushfires, including an office rebuild and replenishment of essential training resources.
Maintained status as the preferred training provider for clients such as Vestas SA & WA.

2019

Gained accreditation as an Australian Registered Training Organisation

2018

Completed a specialised Train the Trainer program with Skylotec in Germany.
Expanded GWO training services to include Advanced Rescue Training (ART) and Enhanced First Aid (EFA).

Expanding Horizons (2014 – 2017)

Achieved ISO 9001 certification

Achieved GWO Training Provider accreditation

2015

Consulted for the Department of Primary Industries and became the preferred training provider for Suzlon Energy Australia

2014

Returned to the Wind Industry, offering specialised training and assessments in Turbine Access and Rescue

Embarking on Excellence (2011 – 2013)

Contributed expertise to a Department of Defence project and became the preferred provider for Boral Group’s Quarries, Cement, and Logistics divisions

2012

Established a partnership with RTO Safeguard Training & Services, expanding into nationally recognised training (NRT) and supporting the mining sector with Jellinbah Mining Group, QLD
